Chapter 10: Concern Only

she called Liyah to meet her, its been weeks since she havent seen her. eversince she came back from Hawaii, she went straight for work...same goes with Ney. she told Liyah to meet her at the french cuisine restaurant. before she could meet up with Liyah, she told Ney that she might get home late and she couldnt even join lunch with him later.


Ney: ok, i cant join lunch with you anyway. im gonna join your dad later for golfing
Rissa: if dad ask about me... just tell him that im with Liyah. (he just nod)


then when she met up with her best friend... she knew that Liyah likes to tease her.

Liyah: so how is my FULL-TIME HOUSE WIFE best friend???? (starting to tease her)
Rissa: excuse me! (she laugh with her best friend as they meet up in the restaurant) im not what you're thinking! im a full-time working and i didnt wish to be a HOUSE WIFE!
Liyah: (they sat together...) mmmmm.... so how about him?
Rissa: same goes with him... we are both busy in our work just like before. but not like in the past, we are not debating as rivals anymore.
Liyah: so are you two close now... getting to know each other... loving each-
Rissa: ok, stop there... we are not what you're thinking! we are the same as like before... (she whispered to her ears and said) we are just like STRANGERS...
Liyah: so you mean... you're just pretending to be a lovey-dovey couple???
Rissa: when we were in Hawaii, we even had big fight.
Liyah: you didnt have SEX with him during in Hawaii?
Rissa: of course! why should i? i rather sleep with someone else than sleeping with a DORK like him... (but was she was thinking was when she remembered that Ney took off his glasses that time...)
Liyah: well, his not dork as what think... i actually saw him so many times not wearing his ANCIENT EYEGLASSES. ("TRUE" she said to herself)
Rissa: but nothing can change his dorkiness... with or without the glasses, i will never ever fall for someone like him! not now or tomorrow... it will never be.
Liyah: fine! if you say so... for me, im just happy wherever you're happy. but if I AM you... i will ask my husband to change... i want him to have a full makeover. remember your wedding last time? he's so damn hot! i prefer him like that (she remembered the wedding... yes, she cant deny the fact that she was a little surprise when she saw him without glasses, wearing a formal suit) why dont you full makeover your husband since you're well-known as top hi-so girls, you should at least tell him that you're living in a world with beauty and glam... everybody was shock when you got married with him.
Rissa: i dont care what people say anymore... i dont care what people say to him, my only concern is myself and live like i used to be.

while they were eating the pasta that they've order, a girl with 5'6'' tall walking closer to them. she seems familiar but the way she walks and as she flip her hair.... everyone in the restaurant was looking at her especially the guys. she's like a super model the way she walks towards them and then the girl wave at Rissa. she wondered why the girl knows her, as she reached the table... the girl greet her. then the girl introduce herself to her, she realized that they were classmates way back in high school. she's Ney's girl best friend, Femy.

Femy: Rissa, how are you (Rissa still cant believe that the one she's facing with is used to be one of dorkiest girl in school)
Rissa: im fine... (she look at her from head to toe, she's more like a hot super model now)
Femy: did you and Ney received the invitations for our high school reunion this coming 25?
Rissa: yeah... is it you who organized the high school reunion?
Femy: yeah, i just came back from US and so i wanted to organized the party to see my old friends again... by the way, congratulations on your wedding! (she smiled cheerfully) im sorry if i wasnt able to attend the wedding... Ney invited me last time but i cant go because i have work to do.
Rissa: i see... why dont you sit first...
Femy: mmm... nevermind, im about to go anyway... i'll just see you on the reunion, give my best regards to Ney.
Rissa: ok...

when Femy was about leave, Rissa still cant believe of what she saw... the girl she used to know, Ney's girl best friend who happens to be the dorkiest girl in school too. she was surprise when she look at her, a big transformation from dorky to hot super model...

later, when she got home she saw Ney talking someone over the phone. she doesnt have to greet him everytime she comes... but seeing him talking to someone over the phone makes her annoy. he was laughing crazily and then finally he noticed that his wife just came home...

Ney: (he was about to say goodbye to someone over the phone) ok..... she's here now, i'll just see you when i see you.... ok... bye... (he turned off the cordless phone and about to go upstairs)

she saw him in a happy mood, she was kinda pissed because he didnt even greet her when she came. it was like nothing, like strangers that they used to behave themselves when their at home. but then she told him that she met Femy...

Rissa: i met Femy today... (then before he could go upstairs, he stopped and looked at her)
Ney: i know... i just talked to her now over the phone... (just like what she thought, it was Femy on the phone)

then, he left her at the stairs standing. she doesnt understand of what she feels right now, but one thing for sure is... she's annoyed seeing him in happy mood or there's something else....

it's Sunday today and finally they could take a rest. she was tired enough to go out today, so she decided to stay at home. while at the dining room eating her breakfast, she saw him wearing the usual geeky clothes that he wore everyday but it seems like he's going out somewhere... he then look at her.

Ney: im going somewhere.... (he was like asking permission to go somewhere)
Rissa: go ahead... why are you telling that to me?
Ney: im just telling you because i might be late tonight...
Rissa: what if our parents visits us today?
Ney: just call me then... im going to meet someone first.
Rissa: is it Femy? (he didnt answer...) so you still have time to meet someone who's not really important?
Ney: why, is Liyah important? (she didnt answer) i gotta go.


she was pissed off... everytime she stays here in the mansion, their situation is getting worse. she didnt know when they will end this PRETENDING LOVING EACH OTHER infront of their parents, since they really dont love each other. she's only concern about their situation right now, but it seems like Ney doesnt care... that's why she's really pissed.

while driving, he also felt the same way to Rissa. he was concern of their situation but it seems Rissa is not being fair for him, he let her go meet with her best friend and now he wanted to see his girl best friend...then she wont let him meet Femy, he's really pissed off.

Ney and Femy meet at the bowling club, when they were still in high school they used to hangout in bowling club. while playing, they were chit-chatting around. she wanted to know why Ney suddenly got married with Rissa, whom she knew his mortal enemy since high school...but there was more aside from being his mortal enemy. of course Femy didnt want to tell any further because she promised to Ruan not to talk about the past of Ney.

Femy: i heard that you and Rissa spent your honeymoon in Hawaii...
Ney: did Ruan tell you?
Femy: mmm... well we talk last time over the phone before i went back here.
Ney: did he told you what happened to me and Rissa that time?
Femy: no... why? what really happened?
Ney: nothing... (he didnt want to talk about it anymore)
Femy: do you love her? (referring to Rissa)
Ney: why do you ask?
Femy: mmmm... nothing. i just want it to know.
Ney: ok, i will tell you the truth. WE dont really love each other.
Femy: then why did you marry her?
Ney: because i accidentally slept with her and we didnt know we were caught in the camera, to prevent the scandal i have marry her....
Femy: what!?! really!?! i still cant believe what i've just heard....
Ney: well, that's the truth.
Femy: how come you two survive this awkward situation? i mean you two dont love each other, how about facing the parents?
Ney: nothing... we just have to pretend everything... like a couple...
Femy: when will you stop this charade then?
Ney: i dont know... maybe until we realize that it will never work out.

when he said those words, something hit him from the heart. he seems to be different eversince he got married... mix feelings when his words sounds deniable... something wasnt true to his feelings.

after their bowling, Femy remind him about the reunion.... THEY (Ney and Rissa) should come. everyone is expecting them to come because recently they are the talk of the town after when they got married. Femy also told him to have full makeover for a change, when he look at her.... he was smiling and was telling her that she changed a lot.

Femy: im sure your wife will fall for you... if she'll see you in full transformation.
Ney: Fem, I am myself... i dont need to change anything. if she'll fall for me for what she sees in me right now it maybe a big miracle, but i tell you now... she will never ever fall in love with like what you said...
Femy: what if one day she'll fall for you, what will you do?

he didnt answered him because actually he didnt know what to do. he just laugh at Femy but in his mind, he could still remember what Rissa told him last time... "dont ever fall in love with me... because i will never fall in love with someone like you......".
